Build a business that makes you rich in all aspects of your life, not just your bank balance

I’ve been refining my business systems for a few years now which means I know what I need to do to run the leanest, most profitable version of my business yet.

But that’s not the full picture –

There are also things I do every day, that DON’T directly build revenue, grow my business or get more clients ….

because this is just as important.

Yoga and meditation
Cold water therapy
I go for a walk with Baxter 🐶
I chat to friends
I spend time outside
I spend time with my kids after school
I go in the jacuzzi every day
I exercise
I potter on
I’m creative in some way
I stop

The point, for me at least:

Build a business that makes you rich in all aspects of your life, not just your bank balance.

Rich in your relationships
Rich in happiness
Rich in fun
Rich in your health
Rich in life

This is my mantra:

If you’re getting paid to do it, it’s productive.
If you’re having fun doing it, it’s productive.
If it makes you happy, it’s productive.

If it’s none of these, you can say no…❌

You get to choose how your days, weeks and life look.
It’s entirely up to you to design it how you want it.

Want to work all weekend? No problem..
Want to 3 days a week? No problem..
Want to sit in your PJs? No problem..

But for it to give you what you want, you have to know how to build a business that frees up your time.

It has to work. This isn’t a ‘you can have anything’ post.

For example, if you want to get to high revenue months but you’re at zero and only have a few hours a week to put into it…

Then that’s probably going to be a different set of outcomes to the person working all hours, going all in and making bold moves in terms of speed..

Don’t want to do 1:1 – build group programmes

Don’t want to be client facing – build evergreen courses

Dislike online – do in person

You build the business according to what you want, not the other way around. It’s okay to do your thing as long as you have a sound business model to support it.

And it’s ok to do non revenue generating activities if you have a solid foundation that gives you time as well as money.
